I finally tracked down a complete 90s X-Men run for $200

Turns out 17 issues were reprints from a Canadian distributor and now I'm stuck with a stack of useless paper - has anyone else gotten burned by fake collectibles at convention dealers?

Those Canadian reprints are basically just expensive bookends at that point, sorry man.

Man, that reminds me of the time I bought a "rare" pressed penny from a vending machine at Epcot. It was like $2 but I convinced myself it was an investment. Now it's just sitting in a drawer next to some old concert tickets. I get the bookend thing though, you tell yourself it's art but really it's just stuff taking up space.
