I finally looked up how much a single comic book cost in 1960
Saw a thread on a collector forum that broke down cover prices adjusted for inflation and it hit me that a 10 cent comic back then is like paying $1.50 today. Found a chart that showed how much cheaper they were compared to now, even with the lower page counts and newsprint paper. Did anyone else get into collecting only to realize the golden age prices were basically pocket change?

Did anyone actually carry a dime to the newsstand back then and feel like it was nothing?
Ten cents was still real money in 1960, but it bought you a whole afternoon of reading.
That same dime's buying power today gets you a third of a snack size bag of chips.

Ask @caleb_thomas93 if that dime ever bought a cup of coffee too?
