Honestly, I started bagging and boarding my new comics as soon as I got home from the shop, not after a month in a pile.

Actually, letting them sit out can cause more harm from dust and light. Bagging them right away is the safer move.

See, I've always done the opposite. I let them breathe for a week or two, flat in a stack. I find if you bag them right away, sometimes a little moisture gets trapped and you risk more damage than leaving them out.

That's interesting! Do you keep them in a specific room or have any humidity control going on while they're out? I'd worry about dust or light damage over a couple weeks.
