Vent: People who call themselves coffee lovers but only drink caramel syrups

I was at a cafe in Portland last week and overheard a guy order a "black coffee with oat milk and 4 pumps of caramel." That's not black coffee, my friend. I'm not here to judge what anyone drinks, but if you can't taste the actual bean through all that sugar, maybe don't call yourself a coffee enthusiast. It's like saying you're a car guy but only drive automatic rentals. Had to walk away before I said something rude. Anyone else run into this at local shops?

Just ignore them and let the barista handle it, they've heard this a thousand times before.

Had a buddy who tried that approach at a local coffee shop. He stood there all quiet while this guy in line kept telling the barista how to steam milk properly, all smug like he knew better. My friend just stared at his phone, but the barista ended up getting flustered and made a wrong order because the dude wouldn't shut up. In my experience, speaking up early saves everyone the headache.
