Stumbled on a study saying cold brew actually has more caffeine than hot brew and it blew my mind
I was reading through some coffee science blog last night and found out that cold brew extracts more caffeine because of the longer steep time, which totally surprised me since I always thought hot water pulled more out - has anyone else tested this at home or noticed a difference in how jittery you get?

I mean that study's methodology is probably flawed, hot water extracts way more caffeine in like 5 minutes vs hours of cold water barely doing anything. I've done my own taste tests and hot brewed coffee always hits me harder so I'm not buying it.

I mean, is this REALLY that serious? Like, are we out here doing personal taste tests and calling out study methodology over COFFEE extraction times? You do you, but I think there are bigger things to worry about than whether my caffeine hits me in 5 minutes or 5 hours.
