My buddy's horror at my microwaved coffee routine has me puzzled
I brew a full pot each morning. By afternoon, the remaining coffee is cold, so I give it a quick zap. My friend, a serious coffee enthusiast, visibly shudders at this. He insists that reheating destroys the delicate flavors and creates a harsh taste. I've sampled his freshly poured cups, and while they're nice, my warmed-up version seems fine to me. Perhaps I'm missing something, or perhaps it's all in his head. I'd like to hear from others who might have insight. Is there a real reason to avoid the microwave, or is it just preference?

I totally get your routine and your friend isn't wrong about the taste changing, but if you like it then that's all that matters!

From what I've seen, taste changes can make you stop liking things.

Honestly your friend is right about the flavor changing, but if it still tastes fine to you then it's not really ruined. Ngl, it just comes down to what you like.
