My $40 coffee scale just saved me from wasting a whole bag of expensive beans.

I was getting really inconsistent brews until I realized my old 'tablespoon' method was off by over 3 grams, so has anyone else found a cheap tool that made a huge difference?

Honestly, my last cheap filter turned the water a weird cloudy white. Tasted like I was drinking from a swimming pool. I swear it just added new flavors instead of taking them out. Ended up using it to water my plants because it seemed safer for them than for me.
