Lost $145 on a fancy grinder I never needed
I bought a $145 hand grinder with titanium burrs because I wanted the perfect espresso shot at home. After 3 weeks of stiff wrists and inconsistent grind sizes, I realized my $30 blade grinder from college did the same job for my french press. The fancy one sits in my cabinet now, and I even tried selling it online for $80 but no bites for a month. Has anyone else overpaid for gear they barely touch, or have you actually noticed a real difference with the expensive stuff?

Man I feel this so hard. I dropped $120 on a fancy burr grinder for my pour overs and honestly my old $20 blade one makes coffee that tastes just as good to me. The expensive one now just sits there collecting dust because I got sick of the whole ritual and went back to my cheap setup.
