Just learned coffee shops pour 30% more into to-go orders if you're nice

I was reading this article on Sprudge about barista habits and it said customers who smile and say please get an extra 1-2 ounces on average. Found a study from a UC Davis coffee lab that backed it up with actual pour measurements. Has anyone else noticed their drink feels heavier when you chat with the barista?

Always tip a buck even on drip coffee, they remember.
