Is a $20 hand grinder worth it or should you just save for a $200 one?

I picked up a cheap hand grinder for $20 last month and honestly it works fine for my morning pour over. But my buddy swears his $200 one changed his whole coffee game and he refuses to go back. I'm wondering if the difference is really that big or if it's just hype from the expensive gear crowd. The cheap one takes me like 5 minutes to grind 20g and the results are decent but not perfect. Has anyone ever done a blind taste test between budget and high end grinders to see if it's actually noticeable?

Man, yeah the difference is night and day with consistency once you get past the cheap models.

I used to be the guy who thought spending more was a waste @robert_anderson69, but I grabbed a mid-range model last month and it changed my whole view. The prints come out clean every time now, no more failed overnight runs because the hotend clogged halfway through. It's like the machine just works instead of fighting me every step.
