French press over pour over, no regrets after 8 months

I switched from my V60 to a $25 French press from target back in March and I still prefer it. The grit at the bottom doesn't bother me, and I honestly like the heavier mouthfeel with my morning dark roast. Anyone else ditch the fancy gear for something simpler and stuck with it?
