A quiet victory with my espresso machine this morning

I've been pulling shots that were either too sour or too bitter for weeks. This morning, I tweaked the temperature and dose, and finally got a rich, balanced shot. What change made the biggest improvement in your coffee?

Maybe it's just me but tweaking temp never did much for my shots. Dialing in the grind gave me way better results. It's surprising how much that one factor matters.

Agree with you on that. Honestly, grind adjustment is the real game changer. Never saw much difference with temp myself.

Lol same. I was out here messing with the temp like I was a scientist, but my shots were still sour. Then I just made the grind a tiny bit finer and bam, perfect crema. Felt like I wasted a whole bag of beans trying to be fancy. Guess I'm just not that delicate.
