Watched a guy at a Pittsburgh coffee shop debug his loop with a rubber duck for 40 minutes
He kept saying his code out loud to the duck and fixed his off-by-one error on try 12, so I grabbed a $3 duck from the toy store on Forbes Ave and it has saved me more times than any tutorial.

Wait, he actually fixed it on try 12? That's wild. I would've given up and gone home after like attempt 3.
