Update: I thought I had to learn everything about Python before starting a project

My instructor kept saying 'just build something, you'll learn as you go' and after 3 weeks of trying to memorize syntax, I finally made a simple number guessing game. It made way more sense than just reading the book. Anyone else find that projects are the best way to learn?

Yeah, the "just build something" advice is so real. I spent months trying to memorize everything first and my first project was still a total mess, but it finally clicked.

Months is actually pretty fast for that click, took me over a year.
