Spent $90 on a coding bootcamp prep course, the free stuff was better

Last month I bought one of those 'learn Python fast' courses from a random site and it was basically just rehashed YouTube videos with worse audio. I lost $90 with zero refunds. Anyone else get burned by paid tutorials when the free docs were clearer?

Laugh at myself every time I see these things... paid for a "React mastery" pack once and it literally had a typo in the first line of code. Had to copy-paste the fix from Stack Overflow anyway. The free MDN docs and random GitHub repos taught me more in a weekend than that $120 course did in a month. Honestly, half these "instructors" just read the docs out loud with a fancy intro animation. Best money I ever spent was $0 on the official tutorial and a cheap coffee.
