Spent 6 hours debugging a Python script and it was just a missing colon
I was working through a free online course on Python basics and typed up a simple loop to print numbers 1 through 10. Kept getting a syntax error over and over. After checking my code line by line for almost 6 hours on a Saturday, I noticed I forgot the colon at the end of the 'for' line. It made me realize I need to slow down and check for tiny mistakes first. Anyone else waste a whole day on something that small?

Nah, I see it the other way. Those little syntax errors are actually GOOD teachers because they train your EYES to catch details. After I missed a semicolon in a C loop for FOUR hours straight, I never skipped a punctuation check again. It forced me to actually read code character by character instead of skimming, which made me a WAY better debugger over time.
