Spent 4 hours debugging a missing semicolon last night and wanted to throw my laptop

I was working on a simple JavaScript project for a friend's small business site. It's just a contact form with some basic validation, nothing fancy. Last night around 10 PM I noticed the form would submit but never actually send the data. I checked the API endpoint, the fetch request, the server logs, everything. After 4 hours of staring at code I finally noticed I forgot a semicolon in the async function declaration. Just one stupid character. This is the third time this month a tiny typo wrecked my evening. Does anyone else spend more time hunting down punctuation errors than actually writing code?

The "wanted to throw my laptop" part hit close to home. It's wild how one tiny missing character can make you feel like you're losing your mind. Oh man, you just described my life with that comma example! I sent a text to my sister last week that was supposed to say "Let's eat, Grandma" and auto-correct turned it into "Let's eat Grandma" and she thought I was joking about cannibalism or something. Had to call her and explain for ten minutes. It's crazy how a simple punctuation slip can turn a nice dinner into a whole crisis. I'm convinced there's some cosmic force out there laughing at us every time we hit send on a message that's missing one tiny dot or comma and watching the chaos unfold.
