Shoutout to the random guy at Starbucks who made me finally learn Git

I've been putting off version control for like 2 years. Kept thinking it was too complicated for my little Python scripts. Then last Tuesday I'm at a Starbucks in Nashville and this dude sees me literally copy a file to 'script_final_v3_REAL.py' on my laptop. He just laughs and says 'you know that's the exact reason I switched to Git, right?' He pulled up his chair and showed me git init, commit, and branch in about 10 minutes. Something about seeing him fix a mistake with git checkout just clicked in my head. Now I use it for all my little projects. Has anyone else had a moment where a stranger explaining one thing made a whole tool finally make sense?
