I wasted $60 on a Python course that just read documentation
Bought a 'complete beginner' course on Udemy last month but it was literally just the instructor reading the official Python docs out loud for 8 hours. Has anyone else fallen for a course that turned out to be a waste of money?

The "reading docs out loud" part got me. You actually paid someone to read free stuff at you.

Honestly, that part cracked me up too. It's like paying someone to read you a bedtime story but with tax forms instead of fairy tales. I mean, I get that some people learn better by hearing things, but still. The whole point of docs is you can skim them for free whenever you want. Ngl, it feels like a way to make the whole thing seem fancier than it really is.
