Hit 1000 lines of code without noticing, then my own script crashed me

I was building a little quiz app for my niece's birthday and somehow stacked up 1,000 lines over three evenings without testing once... it ran fine for two questions, then froze my whole laptop and I lost the file. Has anyone else had that moment where your code impresses you right before it ruins your day?

My buddy Mike once built a whole inventory tracker for his garage sale side hustle. He was so proud, 1200 lines of PHP and a custom database schema he bragged about for days. Then the first real item he scanned, a lawnmower, triggered some loop that opened like 500 browser tabs and locked his PC so hard he had to pull the plug. He lost the whole thing too, but the funny part is his backup was a sticky note with "SELECT FROM stuff" written on it. He still tells that story at parties like it's a war wound.
