Blew $40 on a coding bootcamp's 'beginner pack' and it was just a bunch of YouTube links

So I'm trying to learn Python on the side, right, and I see this ad for a beginner coding bootcamp that promises a 'starter kit' with worksheets and practice files. I'm like okay, $40 is nothing if it gets me organized. I buy it, download the pack, and it's literally a PDF with links to free YouTube videos and a few text files with basic print statements that I could have written myself in 5 minutes. I felt so dumb, like I just paid someone to send me a list of things I could google in an hour. The worst part is that I already knew most of the commands they covered, so it was completely useless for moving forward. Has anyone else bought one of those 'starter packs' and found out it was just a repackaged blog post?

$40 is pretty standard for a curated list of resources though. Most bootcamps are just organizing free stuff you could find yourself but charge for the convenience.

But is anyone actually verifying that the free stuff they're curating is up to date or good quality, or are they just throwing a bunch of links together and calling it a course?
