Vent: The coolant pump died on a Friday afternoon with a 200-piece order due Monday.
We had to run the machine dry for the last 10 parts, which ruined the finish and the tool. Has anyone else had a pump fail right before a deadline, and what's your backup plan?

Wait, you ran it dry? I mean, that's just asking for a bigger repair bill.

Honestly, running it dry was the only call. The deadline was the real problem, not the pump. A 200-piece order with that turnaround was a planning failure from the start. You can't blame the equipment for a schedule that had zero room for error. The backup plan should have been building more time into the quote, not expecting machines to never break.
