Rough Tuesday turned me around on running parts back-to-back

Three weeks ago I fought a 12-hour shift where every insert chipped on the same 4140 job and my old boss Bob said 'slow down or you'll scrap the whole lot,' and that one comment made me realize I'd been rushing setups to look efficient, so now I double-check offsets before every second part, has anyone else had a bad day that actually fixed their process for good?
