PSA: Had to choose between a quick coolant change and a full system flush
My Haas VF2 was running hot on a big aluminum job. I could either just top off the coolant or do a full drain and clean, which takes half a day. I picked the quick top-off. Big mistake. Two days later, the pump clogged with tramp oil and chips, costing me six hours of downtime. Has anyone found a good middle ground for keeping coolant clean without a full shutdown every time?

Yeah, my old VF2 did that exact same thing last summer. I tried the quick top off and ended up with a nasty biofilm that stank up the whole shop. Now I do a quick sump clean with a shop vac during tool changes, it's a decent middle ground.
