My machine just ran for 1000 hours straight without a single alarm.
I was running a long production job on our 5-axis Mazak, and the maintenance log showed we passed 1000 hours of runtime with zero faults. I've never seen a machine go that long without at least a minor servo or coolant alarm. Is this just insane luck, or should I be worried something's about to fail catastrophically?

Honestly... 1000 hours with zero alarms does sound crazy. But I wouldn't panic about a big failure just yet. Sometimes a machine just runs right, you know? Maybe your maintenance is actually good for once. I'd just keep an eye on it like normal.

Right? @jenny391, that quiet stretch can feel weird. We had a press run perfect for months, then a tiny sensor died on a Tuesday. Just keep doing your checks.

Wow, I used to get super nervous when a machine ran too quiet. Thought it was just lulling me into a false sense of security before blowing up. But then our old lathe had a flawless two-year run after a major rebuild. Sometimes things are just... right. I'd say enjoy the win and keep up whatever checks you're doing.
