I wasted $400 on a cheap CNC spindle that barely lasted 2 months

Honestly, I thought I was being smart saving money by buying a budget spindle off Amazon instead of spending more on a known brand. Installed it on my machine back in March, and for the first few weeks it ran fine. Then around week 6 I started hearing this weird grinding noise during heavier cuts. Took it apart and found the bearings were completely shot, like metal flakes everywhere inside. I tried to get a warranty replacement but the seller ghosted me after I sent them photos. So now I'm stuck ordering a real replacement from a legit supplier for $650, and I've already lost $400 on that junk spindle plus a week of downtime. Has anyone else been burned by those cheap spindles or should I just stick with the premium ones from now on?

Bought a "heavy duty" extension cord once that melted into the carpet after three weeks.

That sounds like a real bummer. Those cheap cords can be seriously dangerous.
