Hit 10,000 flawless parts on the same setup without a single reject
I've been running the same aluminum bracket job for about 8 months now on my Haas VF-2, and I just passed 10,000 parts without a single reject. Honestly surprised me because I figured a tool wear issue or a coolant problem would have popped up by now. Has anyone else gone that long on one setup without a bad part?

Honestly, I read somewhere that avoiding jinxes might have more to do with staying focused and not getting lazy than actual luck. But @murphy.blair's wrench story is exactly why I still knock on my machine frame every shift. It's a mental thing for sure, but if it keeps your head in the game for 10,000 parts, who cares why it works.

You better knock on wood before you type another word! That kind of streak is basically begging the universe to throw a drill break at you. Maybe buy a lottery ticket while you're at it, since your luck clearly hasn't run out yet.

Yeah, @barbara_baker57, is that really a thing? I used to think knocking on wood was just old superstition and didn't matter one bit. But last year I talked about how smooth a job was going and literally dropped a wrench on my foot right after. Now I'll at least tap my knuckles on the truck door before I say anything about a streak going good. It's stupid but it works enough to keep me doing it.
