Figured out why my parts were coming out rough after 2 years of running the same machine

I was using the wrong feeder speed this whole time for aluminum, and a guy walking by my machine at work just casually pointed it out. Anyone else have one of those stupid simple fixes that made you feel like an idiot?

phoenix198, your comment about manuals being useful reminded me of something I read in a machining forum once. A guy said reading the setup guide saved him from crashing his machine because of a tool offset he would have missed. I figure if a 2 year mistake like feeder speed can happen, a quick read through the manual is worth the 15 minutes.

Bet you thought you were saving time skipping the manual that came with it.

Used to think manuals were just time wasters. Now I actually read the setup guides.
