Can we talk about spindle load differences after a tool regrind?
Got a batch of end mills back from regrind last Tuesday and the spindle load on the same roughing pass dropped from 85% to 62%. That seems like a huge jump for just a resharpened edge. Has anyone else seen that much change in load readings after a regrind, or should I recheck my feeds?

That 23% difference is actually right in line with what I'd expect from a proper regrind. Your tool was probably running with worn edge geometry that was pushing more material than cutting it, so the load drop just means the new edge is doing its job efficiently. If anything I'd bump your feed up 10% and see if you get the same surface finish, because you're leaving cycle time on the table right now.
