The night my boss at the race shop in Charlotte showed me a hand scraped way, I threw out my dial indicator habit
We were setting up a Bridgeport and he ran a scraper across the saddle just to prove a point about contact. Now I blue up and scrape before I ever touch a DRO, and I want to know if anyone else still does it by hand.

Figured scraping was outdated until my boss proved contact beats dials every time.
