Wasted $300 on a fancy electric compost bin that barely worked

Honestly I bought that Lomi thing back in April thinking it would make composting way easier. After 3 months the motor started making this grinding noise and it never actually broke down the food scraps right. Anyone else try one of those countertop composters and have better luck with a different brand?

My $200 machine from Vitamix has been grinding up everything for 8 months with zero issues.
