TIL asking for a smaller carbon footprint on deliveries actually works sometimes
I run my own cleaning business and order supplies in bulk. Last year a supplier told me my standard next-day delivery was adding way more emissions than I realized. They offered a consolidated weekly option instead and I saved about $15 a month on shipping too. Has anyone else tried pushing for slower shipping with their regular vendors?

Man that's a smart move, I never thought to ask about consolidated shipping before.

Exactly this though, @rose_cooper basically summed up how I learned it the hard way.

Has anyone else found it embarrassing how long it took me to realize "faster" shipping mostly means a truck driving around with just my little box in it? That consolidated weekly option sounds great, and honestly, my own impatience was costing me more than I knew. It is nice to feel like a small time eco-hero even if I am really just a cheapskate at heart.
