Solar panel quotes varied by $4,000 in one afternoon

Got three quotes for a 6kW system here in Austin last month, same equipment listed on paper, but the installers' labor and warranty math was ALL over the place. The cheapest guy had zero local reviews and the priciest included a 25 year labor guarantee that the others wouldn't match. Has anyone else found that paying more upfront for a solid installer beats chasing the lowest number?
