Saw a solar farm worker in Nevada wipe dust off panels with a dry rag and it clicked

I was out near Boulder City last month watching them clean a 50 acre array and they said dry wiping cuts output by 40% if you skip it. Has anyone else found a cheap way to keep their home panels dust-free without buying some $200 kit?

Oh man, I had the same lightbulb moment when I got my first solar setup! I just use a microfiber cloth and a hose with a spray nozzle, no special kit needed. For stubborn dry dust I wait until early morning when there's dew, then give them a quick gentle wipe before the sun bakes it on. What kind of panels are you working with?

@barbara_baker57 yes! The dew trick saves me every time, I do the exact same thing with my panels.
