Rant: Switching to reusable pads felt pointless until the plastic waste from disposables really hit me

A friend pointed out that I was throwing away 12 pads a month for 40 years, which is like 5,760 pads rotting in a landfill, and that math finally got me to buy a set of cloth ones from a local maker last month, so has anyone else done the switch and found a brand that actually stays put during exercise?

Ever tried period underwear instead? Way less slip for workouts.

My first pack of cloth pads from Etsy cost me $45 and honestly they slide around more than my disposables did lol. I get the landfill guilt and all but is it really that serious when most of us are just regular people trying to get through the day not saving the planet single-handedly? I tried period underwear once and it felt like wearing a diaper so I went back to the regular stuff without all the fuss. Sometimes I think we overthink this stuff when there's bigger problems out there honestly.

Chuckled at that math - still finding my swapped pad in the laundry basket after workouts.
