PSA: Our block's solar setup is helping and I'm tired of the doom talk

We pooled money and put solar panels on a few roofs this summer. Now we're using way less power from the plant that burns coal. Lots of people say stuff like this is too small to count. I get it, but seeing our meters spin slower feels like real progress. We need to cheer on these wins to keep everyone motivated.

How did you get everyone to agree on splitting the costs? That's always the hardest part for my neighbors.

Forget getting everyone to agree on splitting costs, that's a WASTE of time. Push ahead with those who are WILLING and let the rest catch up later.

Actually, I see it the other way around. All those small meters spinning slower add up across a whole town or city. My take is if we only wait for big fixes, we'll be waiting forever. Getting something working right now builds real know-how in your community. That local knowledge matters just as much as the power you make.
