Pro tip: I chose a used electric car over a new hybrid for my commute to Tacoma
It cost $8,000 less upfront, and my electric bill only went up about $30 a month. Has anyone else found a good deal on a used EV lately?

How many miles are you driving each day to only see a thirty dollar bump on your electric bill? That math seems really optimistic unless you have super cheap power. I looked at used EVs too but the battery replacement costs down the road scared me off. It feels like you're just trading a gas bill for a massive repair bill later.
