Picked the electric mower over the gas one and it's working out better than I thought

I've been going back and forth for months on replacing my old gas mower. Finally bit the bullet last week and got a plug-in electric one from the local Ace Hardware. I was worried about the cord being annoying but my yard is only like a quarter acre so it reaches fine. Plus no more smell of gas and it's way quieter. My neighbor actually came over to ask what I was using. Has anyone else made the switch and found it easier than they expected?

I dunno man, I see people acting like switching to electric is some kind of life changing event. It's a lawn mower, not a new car. Yeah it's quieter and no gas smell but you're still just cutting grass. The cord can be a real pain if you have any trees or flower beds to weave around and if you forget to unplug it you're just gonna yank it out of the wall and trip. Plus you gotta store the battery or the cord somewhere special and charge it up which is just another chore. Seems like a lot of hype for something that just does the same job as the old one.

Pretty sure half the stuff marketed as "life changing" these days is just regular stuff with a fresh coat of paint lol. Same old chores, slightly different gadget.

Right? I've tripped over my cord more times than I'd like to admit.
