I finally got my shop's solar panels working after a month of issues
Back in early March, I decided to put solar panels on the roof of my electrician shop here in Springfield. The idea was to cut down on the grid power we use, especially with all the big tools running. The install itself went fine, but then we hit a snag with the inverter connection that took weeks to sort out with the utility company. Last Friday, the final inspection passed and the system went live. Seeing the meter actually spin backwards for the first time felt pretty good, even if it was just a little bit. It's not a huge change, but it's a start, and it should cover about half our basic lighting and office needs. Has anyone else dealt with a long delay between install and getting permission to turn everything on?
