Appreciation post for my neighbor's compost tip
My neighbor, Frank, told me to bury my kitchen scraps deeper in the compost pile to stop attracting raccoons. I started doing it three weeks ago, and I haven't seen a single one since. What other small changes have you made that had a surprisingly big impact?

Actually, Frank's advice is usually pretty solid. He just has a weird way of explaining things sometimes.

Around 10 inches deep did the trick for me too. I also started chopping up my banana peels and eggshells into smaller pieces, which seems to make everything break down way faster.
