Warning: my bike lock froze solid this morning at 6th and Main

I went to unlock my bike at the train station around 7am and the combination lock just would not budge. It was 18 degrees out and I guess the moisture inside the mechanism turned to ice. I ended up having to walk 20 blocks to work carrying the bike. Has anyone else had this happen with a Master Lock in this kind of cold?

Totally agree, same thing happened to me last winter with a Master Lock. Had to carry my bike like 10 blocks in the snow, felt like an idiot.

Five separate times this year my neighbor's had locks fail on his storage unit. Not even cheap ones either, some were name brands. Makes you wonder if companies just don't care about quality anymore like they used to. My granddad still uses the same padlock from the 80s on his garden shed and that thing works perfect still.
