Update: I was wrong about paying for parking downtown
For months I refused to spend the $12 at the Jackson Street garage, thinking I was smarter walking 6 blocks from the free lot. Then last Tuesday I got a $45 ticket for parking in a spot I thought was fine after 6pm. Did the math and realized I could have parked in the garage 16 times before matching that one ticket. Now I just pay the $12 upfront and save myself the headache. Anybody else hold out on parking costs and regret it later?

Fought a $2 toll once, ended up with a $75 fine.

Was the fine from the toll agency or the court after you fought it?
