The time I tried to change a bike tire and it took three hours
I got a flat on my way to work downtown last Tuesday, so I figured I'd just swap it out myself in the parking lot. First the tire lever snapped, then I realized the new tube had the wrong valve stem size. By the time I got the right tube from a shop six blocks away, it was dark and my hands were covered in grease. Has anyone else had a simple fix turn into a whole afternoon?

Oh man, that valve stem thing has gotten me too. What nobody really talks about is how much the weather messes with your patience for stuff like that. If it's hot and sunny vs cold and windy, that's like a whole different level of frustration built in.

Broke two tire levers before realizing my neighbor had a bike pump I could've borrowed the whole time.

Joined the club big time last week... spent an hour wrestling with a flat before I remembered my buddy two doors down literally fixed bikes for a living. Coulda saved myself the skinned knuckles.
