Realized I was over-tightening every single bolt on my bike for 3 years
Honestly, I took my old Trek mountain bike into a shop on 7th street last month because the brakes were squealing. The mechanic took one look and said I had stripped two of the caliper bolts from cranking them too hard. I always thought tighter was safer but he showed me the torque spec was only like 5 Nm, not the gorilla grip I was using. Has anyone else had a mechanic call them out on something basic like this?

Right? I overtighten everything in life, even jar lids. It's a problem.

3 jar lids later @amy_murphy85 and I still can't get the pickle jar open.
