My dryer went out 3 days ago and I'm still waiting on the repair guy
Was washing a load of towels when the machine just stopped mid-cycle with a grinding noise and now I'm stuck hanging everything on a line in my bathroom, anyone know a reliable appliance repair person in the downtown area who actually shows up on time?

Repair guy" is a myth, try A-1 Appliance on 4th, they came same day for me.

Wait didnt you have that problem with the microwave last month? I always thought the "repair guy" thing was just a joke, like people making up some random handyman. But honestly after reading this I kinda wanna try A-1 next time something breaks. I had a washing machine issue back in June and just googled some random dude, it took him 4 days to even call me back. Might be worth giving them a shot even if its hit or miss for some.

Yeah but @anna_fox7 I gotta push back a little on that. I called A-1 once for my dryer and they told me it would be a week, then the guy showed up two hours late. I mean don't get me wrong, they fixed it fine and all, but I think "same day" depends on what you're fixing and how busy they are that week. My neighbor used that same guy you mentioned and he took three days just to call her back, so it's hit or miss honestly. Maybe if it's a simple fix like a fridge seal they come faster, but for anything major I wouldn't count on it.
