I thought the new bike lanes on 5th would kill my lunch rush, then I counted cars for a week
When the city put in the protected lane on 5th Street last month, I was sure my sandwich shop would lose the 20 minute parking my customers rely on. I sat outside with a clicker for 7 days during the lunch hour, and the bike lane actually brought in 14 more walk-up orders a day while car traffic stayed about flat. Has anyone else tracked foot traffic after a street change on their block, or am I the only one out there with a clicker like a weirdo?
