Got stuck using a paper map after my phone died in downtown Chicago

I was trying to find a restaurant near Millennium Park and my battery went from 15% to zero in like two minutes. Had to actually go into a Starbucks and ask if they had a physical map, the barista laughed at me and pointed to a rack by the door. Took me twenty minutes to figure out where I was compared to where the place was, which was only like 6 blocks away. Has anyone else had that weird moment of panic when you realize you don't know your own city without GPS?

Twenty minutes for six blocks? That's brutal. Kind of makes you wonder how we ever found anything before smartphones.

And the funny thing is, now I'll stand in one spot for ten minutes staring at my phone trying to figure out which direction is north, totally lost without the blue dot.
