Warning: a rusty flue liner job in Akron ate 11 hours of my life
Pulled up to a 1920s house near Akron last Tuesday thinking it was a simple sweep and a cap swap, but the clay liner was so spalled it cut my brush ropes twice. I got the whole thing unclogged around hour four, then lost the rest of the day trying to fish a camera down a 6 inch flue that has an offset I could not see. Ended up charging the guy for the sweep only because I felt bad, and my shoulder is still sore. Anybody got a trick for reading offsets before you drag every rod off the truck?
