Visited a house I first swept 5 years ago and the difference in creosote buildup was crazy

I mean, the owner swapped from seasoned oak to burning random pallet wood and now I'm pulling out half an inch of thick glaze every cleaning. Has anyone else seen a change this fast from just switching fuel sources?

Yeah pallet wood will do that every time, that stuff is nasty.
