Switched from wire brush to drill attachment for flue cleaning, no going back

For like 4 years I did every chimney sweep with a hand wire brush and a lot of elbow grease, thinking that was the only safe way. Then last spring I did a job on a rental property in Dayton where the flue was caked with creosote so bad my arm gave out after 20 minutes. The homeowner had a drill attachment sitting in his garage and let me borrow it, it cut the time from 2 hours to 40 minutes with way less mess. Now I keep a set in my truck for every job, but I still hand check the smoke shelf after. Has anyone else found that drill attachments miss spots in tight bends, or is it just my older chimney styles?

Tight bends are exactly where those things fall short, no question.
